Happy Valley Football Club thanks Brini Wines for their ongoing support of our Club.
Sebastiano Brini arrived in McLaren Vale from Italy in 1950 with a suitcase and five pounds in his pocket. He spoke no English. He worked hard to establish a better life in his new country and by 1953 had saved enough money to purchase a property in Blewitt Springs.
With the help of his family, the property was progressively planted to all grapevines and the varieties now include Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc. Over the years the vineyard has gained a proud reputation of supplying grapes to some of Australia’s finest red wine producers. In 2000 Sebastiano’s sons John and Marcello established Brini Estate Wines to produce small batches of premium quality wines from the vineyard they grew up on. The single vineyard wines embody the regional characteristics of Blewitt Springs: distinguished, rich berry flavoured and elegant.
So if it’s time to stock up on some magnificent red wine then call Marcello Brini at any time to make your purchase. Order and we are sure it can be organised to be collected from the footy club. Head to the Brini Estates Wine website to check out their range and place your order.
