Training Schedule

As with all sporting clubs, the Happy Valley Football Club runs training sessions throughout the year for its playing groups. For each grade, the coach and/or coordinator undertakes control over what is practised during these times. All coaches are aware, and subsequently qualified, to help develop each individual and team to the best of their abilities.

If you cannot make a particular training session, then please contact the applicable coach and/or coordinator before the start of your scheduled training session, so that they can run you through what was going to be undertaken on the night.

For the 2012 season, the following training times will be the regular sessions throughout the week (unless otherwise advised) -

  • All Seniors (A, B, and C Grades) and Under 18′s train on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Happy Valley Oval from 6:30pm until 8:00pm,
  • The Under 16′s and Under 14′s train on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Happy Valley Oval from 5:00pm until 6:30pm.
  • All Sub-Juniors training will begin at 5:00pm on each Friday night at Happy Valley Oval. The Under 8′s will conclude their training session at 6:00pm, whilst the Under 10′s and Under 12′s conclude their training sessions at 6:30pm, and,
  • The NAB AFL Auskick program begins at 5:00pm on Friday nights, and runs until 6:00pm. This is also held at the Happy Valley Oval, but runs for a shorter period of time than the sub-junior season.

 
For those who are training on the Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights, then the club’s bar is also open before and after your training session. On the Thursday and Friday nights, the canteen is also open and providing dinner for those who do not wish to cook for the night.

All players participating in any of these training sessions are asked to arrive at the club at least 15 minutes before the start of the session, so the club can ensure a prompt start to each training session. Further, if you cannot attend your training session for any reason, then please contact your coach and/or appropriate coordinator.
