The NAB AFL Auskick program provides boys and girls with a fun and safe Australian Football experience that serves as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game.
The program is not just about introducing children to Australian Football – it activates and develops within each child the desire for a healthy lifestyle and an association with our great game.
This is achieved through activities and programs for individuals, small groups and teams, and aims to assist development of personal and social skills.
The Happy Valley Football Club undertakes an accredited NAB AFL Auskick program as part of its Sub-Junior programs. Each session is run on Friday nights between 5pm and 6pm across a 10 week season. All sessions are overseen by accredited coaches, but the club doe not stop any parent who wishes to actively involve themselves in their child’s Auskick participation.
The NAB AFL Auskick program costs $55 for the 2012 season. As part of this cost, a child will receive 10 weeks of quality coaching through fun-derived football based activities, as well as the following -
- A synthetic Sherrin football,
- A backpack or sportsbag,
- NAB AFL Auskick cap,
- A drink bottle (for rookies only),
- A CD-ROM that is loaded with games, downloads, and important information,
- A NAB AFL Auskick passport,
- A deck of footy cards,
- A football pump (for rookies only),
- A pair of Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation shoelaces, and,
- All the insurance coverage required by the club.
